You can move items in the left tree with drag & drop.
- Group may contain sites or other groups. A group is needed to
organize sites.
- Site may contain bookmarks.
- Bookmark can be treated as a pair of folders: a remote one and a
local one. It inherits all other properties from the parent site. When
properties of the site change, bookmark is updated.
- Label is a property of a group, a site and a bookmark. It is needed
to identify an element in the left tree.
- FTP site address is a host name or IP address of the FTP site you
need to connect to. Examples: ftp.netscape.com, 192.168.1.1.
- If you select Anonymous, then the password is provided
automatically and replaces previously set password.
- If Save password to disk is not checked, then you have to enter the
password for this site manually once per session. If it set, then password
is saved to the disk in the encrypted form and you don't have to provide it
each time.
- Remote Directory and Local Directory are the initial folders
that the program goes to once it is logged into the FTP site.

- Detect server time difference means if to determine time difference
to find the actual time of the files in the remote FTP site. It is done by
putting a temporary file into remote FTP site and then deleting it
immediately. This option will work only if you have a write access
both to the site and the initial remote folder. Time difference is
determined once per the session of WebMaster FTP (i.e. if you disconnect
from the site and then immediately reconnect, time difference will not be
detected twice).
- LIST parameters are needed to view hidden and system files. Some
FTP servers are by default disable those files (usually starting with a dot,
such as ".htaccess") in the listing. Because most UNIX FTP servers
use "ls" or "ls -l"command to get that listing, then
"-al" parameters make sure that all files are returned.
- FTP commands after USER/PASS are executed at the startup after the
user has been logged in to the FTP server. Put here required commands one on
a line. Note that these commands will be executed both with the main FTP
connection and in the additional transfer connections (threads) as well.
Note that commands that involve establishing data connections such as LIST
or RETR could not be used here.
